2010 Judges School

The Kansas City Aerobatic Club, IAC Chapter 15, will be hosting an Introduction to Aerobatic Judging class on March 27-28th at the New Century AirCenter, Olathe , KS (IXD). Classes will be held in the Heart of America Wing, Commemorative Air Force (CAF) facilities, daily from 8 am - 5 pm. The instructor for the class will be John Morrissey.

Who should attend this course:

  • Competition pilots seeking a better understanding of judging criteria
  • IAC members who would like to become certified as an IAC Regional Judge
  • Companions/spouse of competition pilots who would like to learn to critique
  • Newcomers to aerobatics who would like to learn the basic rules for judging
  • Previously certified Regional or National Judges who need to attend a Judge's Seminar to satisfy the recurrency requirements
  • Current Judges who would like to brush up their knowledge of judging criteria (only need to attend 2nd day).

Materials Provided in this course:

  • Course notes
  • Regional Judge Exam (only for those seeking initial certification as a regional Judge)
  • An IAC Judge/Assistant Log
  • For students who PRE-REGISTER, we will also provide a free copy of the 2010 IAC Official Contest Rules.

The pre-registration deadline is Closed.

Additional Materials:

  • Students should also acquire copies of the Aresti Aerobatic Catalog (purchase from the Aresti System web site, delivery may take several weeks). The IAC is not authorized to provide this copyrighted document.
  • A limited number of printed 2010 IAC Official Contest rules will be available for purchase on-site for students who did not pre-register or you can download and print your own copies from: http://members.iac.org/contests/rulebook.html.

Course Fees:
     Two day Class:  $105
     One day Class:  $85 (Sunday only)
     Fees to be paid when you arrive for the first day of class.    

Meals:
     Lunches: will be provided each day as part of the fee for the course
     Dinners: Optional, the group can go out to a local restaurants. Not included in the course fee.
