Chapter Playday and Wichita Cookout

April 5th, 2013

Hopefully the treatment for spring fever is kicking in and everyone is getting some flying in while the weather is nice, or at the very least spending some time outside.

A couple things for the calendar.

Next Saturday, April 13th, we’ll hold the first playday of the season at Signature KIXD.  Plan on a 9am brief and we’ll fly until 4pm or until everyone has had their fill.  It will be a great opportunity to brush up for the Great Plains Collegiate Challenge on April 27th in McPherson.

The following Saturday, April 20th, the Wichita chapter has invited IAC 15 members to their annual spring cookout.  The event starts at 1030 at Rick Nutt’s hangar at Stearman Field (1K1) followed by lunch and some flying.  If you’d like to go but need transportation, please send an email to

Wichita Trip This Weekend

April 18th, 2012

Since everyone is scattered around the KC area, unless there is a strong desire to rendezvous at KIXD this Saturday, we’ll just plan on joining up at Stearman Field (1K1) around 11am.

Ross has asked to remind everyone that the traffic pattern on the field is to the West of the airport, and to inform people that Rick Nutt’s hangar is about mid-field on the East side.  I’m sure it won’t be hard to find.

Airport data on Stearman Field is can be found on Airnav by clicking here.

If anyone needs a ride, seats are becoming hard to come by.  Please email for more information.
